I was one of many who wasn't lucky enough to get a license the first time. I was slightly unprepared for the task and hit the curb on the 50 foot straight line. I was not told that I had to look behind me and not use the mirrors when reversing. I had practiced several times the day before to prepare thinking that I would be okay and doing great. The morning of the test my nerves took over and like most tests for me, I became very nervous and thought about it too much. So I took the car back and heard the instructor's speech "You need to work on reversing, parallel parking and you can send this green slip back for a new date".
