Topic > The Influence of the Boston Tea Party - 967

The American colonists had evolved and created new ways of thinking in this brand new world they had just discovered. Although Britain saw the colonists as only a branch of their overseas government, the colonists seemed to grow into the mission as more than just an expedition, but as a new nation. A major difference between the culture of the colonists and that of the English was that the colonists grew resources directly and then shipped them to other countries instead of using the materials to make their own goods. This creates a large cultural difference due to the settlers having an agricultural lifestyle instead of what life was like in Britain. These cultural differences led the colonists to no longer support King George, making him already unpopular before he enacted tax laws.
