I remember including tons of details and descriptions in this story, I wanted it to feel so realistic. While I was writing it, I was really enjoying it because it was fun to build this story and think about the scenes that would happen, as well as making sure everything fit together. Throughout high school and even now in college I have transitioned to writing mostly argumentative and research papers, with personal stories accounting for very few. I have to say that persuasive or argumentative writing is my favorite, so this change is acceptable to me. I prefer these types of writing because I have the opportunity to include my voice in my article and I am able to weave in my opinions on the topic, as well as incorporate what the experts think on that specific topic. One piece I'm most proud of is probably one of the articles I wrote in this first year of college. That's because I know I've honed my writing skills now. Additionally, with the help of my professor and classmates, my writing has improved over the course of this semester. Writing is something I enjoy because I am able to express my ideas through my words and I have written excellent essays throughout my career.
