The most important and strongest reason why Socrates did not want to leave his country was because he liked the national law of his country. He also said he doesn't want to live in another country as a laughing stock. Reading this section I realize that Socrates was Justice and was the person who wanted to be justifiable in front of everyone. Like a quote from Socrates “The law is harsh, but it is the law”, Socrates wanted to be honest with his country and the Athenians. In my opinion on Crito, I think Plato wanted to use Socrates' words to say that everyone has their own values. He also wanted to let people know that unfair or unjustifiable things can happen, but the important thing is the minds, or the idea of the people who find themselves in that situation. Even if it is a declared or immutable value, it can be different from all the others. Like Socrates, we must have strong thoughts about ourselves and be justifiable about the values we are thinking or assuming
