Ethics is a very broad topic; it can be special or general. Special ethics are additional when you have a license. In our lesson we discussed how in some careers it is necessary to take an oath. For example, when a person becomes a doctor they must take the Hippocratic Oath. Which basically says they have to treat patients to the best of their ability, preserve patient privacy, etc. It's special because everyone else doesn't have to take that oath. General ethics moves towards a person's morality. When we combine ethics and relativity, it becomes ethical relativism. Which is defined as there is no right or wrong morality, that what is right or wrong is linked to our social norms. People's morals evolve over time, as I mentioned earlier in the essay. With every ethical question, there is a negative and a positive on how to answer the question. If ethics were to be relative, then I could use an example: it will adapt to our new social norms.
