Cyberbullying has been linked to causing life-threatening harm among all ages in small and large communities and even across countries. A closer look at cyberbullying as a major Internet problem that affects anyone with access to the Internet in many ways today. Before Internet bullying happened in playgrounds and after school fights, there was usually one or more victims, one or more bullies. It was a physical altercation, a fight with words or insults. But now, after the invention of the Internet, cyberbullying has become an electronic way to insult and fight back. Today, words can be transmitted electronically and instantly through social media, messaging and websites. The Digi Parenting site said that cyberbullying can spread obscene messages, spread unpleasant rumors, share private photos and videos, and post these items online for the world to see. According to the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) the methods of cyberbullying between boys and girls are very different from each other, for example boys tend to send sexual messages, fight and threaten to hurt with violent gestures in online messages. Meanwhile girls like to spread false rumors and also make fun of someone whose clothes, makeup or even who the victims are dating. According to the parents' website, children when they reach the age begin to experience cyber bullying once they receive their first cell phone when they are able to access social networking websites. Harassment is also another term of cyber bullying, if an adult gets involved by being the cyber bully, then it becomes cyber harassment and even cyberstalking. When mature people are finally arrested for committing cyberstalking crimes, it can lead to prison or other legal sanctions.
