I honestly don't think I've ever seen a better movie than American History X in my entire life! I may only be 14, but I've seen a lot of movies. I'm a huge fan of theirs and this is simply the best. Edward Norton is simply incredible. He is the most talented actor I have ever seen. His performance in the film is phenomenal. He delves so deeply into his character that he can easily convince the entire audience of his neo-Nazi role. The look on his face as he comes back from killing a man in the first sight is purely terrifying. The whole move was dramatic, intriguing and powerful. It's really touching and exciting as well as scary. It is so true to life and gives the viewer such a deep insight into life and events that creates a monster like Derek Vinyard. It answers a lot of questions I've been waiting for an answer to, like what would make someone act like Derek in this movie, but it leaves open a lot of others that people like me might have. Almost every single scene in the film was extremely captivating. I can't even say anything else about the acting, other than the fact that if Edward Norton doesn't win Best Actor this year, I would absolutely go crazy. It's bad enough that he lost to Cuba Gooding Jr. when he was in Primal Fear, which was yet another incredible performance of his. Edward Furlong, the kid from T2 is amazing as Derek's confused brother. I was stunned as I left the theater after seeing American History X, and I don't think I'll ever have the benefit of seeing another movie as good as this one as long as I live.
