Topic > The Value of Trees - 779

Trees are usually considered bland and unusual objects that are usually taken for granted; However, I believe there is more to a tree than meets the eye. They provide oxygen and shade. During the holidays, trees are able to spread Christmas cheer by wearing Christmas decorations. By providing, they are always helpful to the needs of others. Instead of having a striking beauty like a flower, trees are rooted and possess a gentle beauty; they are wildflowers adapted to their environment. In fact, if I had to compare myself to an inanimate object, I would choose a tree. A tree has many characteristics in common with me. Characteristics such as relying on our roots, strength and observation, helping others, and leaving behind a powerful legacy are some of the traits we share. I believe all are admirable qualities to possess. First, a tree begins life as a tiny seed embedded in the Earth, but with time and nourishment it grows. I too started my life as a little sapling and continued to grow. Along with growth, roots begin to develop. Roots are essential for the survival of a tree. They provide the tree with nutrients so it can survive, just as my mother provided me with nutrients and instilled in me the skills I use today. Root development takes time and dedication. The tree must be exposed to sunlight and water. Sunlight energizes the tree and water saturates the roots, forming them deeply. Deeply formed roots are able to resist all effects and actions of nature/environment. My roots are my faith and my mother. Simply having a relationship with Christ stimulates root growth. The full development of my roots occurs when I have dedicated my time to saturating them by studying His word and in depth... in the center of the paper... I would be a tree. We start out as tiny beings and begin to grow and depend on our roots. Bending to violent winds and remaining rooted in the chosen place demonstrates the strength of a tree. In the face of challenges, I stand tall and stick to what I find most valuable. We learn by falling, by standing, and by observing situations that pass us by. Every tree has a purpose, whether it's providing oxygen, sheltering, or helping others. A tree does not die without serving its purpose. Even after death, a tree does not leave the face of the earth without leaving a trace of its existence. He leaves behind a stump, symbolizing his legacy. I intend to leave a legacy or legacy on this earth. My stump will simply symbolize “Jasmine was here”. Like a tree, my magnificence will be something the world holds in high value and appreciates.
