The Role of Censorship on Pornography Use With the rise of pornography, there is a great need to find a way to address this social problem. One of these is the use of censorship. This refers to the control of information and how it is distributed in society. Historically, this method has always been seen as a dictatorship. In this case, however, it is the best method to ensure that young people are not exposed to pornographic material. In the past, the use of censorship was used to examine television, film content, books, magazines, radio programs, and other types of communications in order to prevent offensive or objectionable ideas. This helps protect the three basic elements of society, namely the church, the state and the family. Different techniques can be used in censorship. Another way is censorship through consensus where individuals agree to live by certain moral standards. This involves understanding boundaries and knowing where not to cross the line. Pornography has also encouraged early sexual activity among young people, thus exposing them to dangerous risks. As far as society is concerned, this has led to a negative perception of women, seen only as sexual tools. Sexual crimes and violence are also on the rise as people have unrealistic expectations. To reduce the effects of pornography, there should be a law that ensures censorship of explicit content.
