The Wannsee Conference Have you ever had a business meeting, a conference? Could you imagine a meeting to outline a plan to exterminate a population, 11 million Jews? The Wannsee Conference was a “meeting” to discuss how they would kill all the Jews. The Wannsee Conference set the Final Solution in motion; the world had missed the opportunity to save 6 million Jews and others. The BeginningHitler came to power in Germany in 1933, after World War I, when tensions were high because the Treaty of Versailles blamed Germany for the destruction caused by the war and they had to face paying all the damages, which Germany sent to economic collapse. That year the Nazi Party won many electoral votes in government and began propaganda against the Jews; they blamed the Jews for the terrible things happening in Germany at the time. Part of the propaganda made by the Nazi Party consisted of images of Jews highlighting what makes them Jewish and their distinctive features, so that they could be identified. These were on the front pages of newspapers printed everywhere in Germany. (An Introductory History of the Holocaust) They began to take away individual rights and separated the Jews. They also placed the Star of David on all Jewish clothing, so that they could be easily spotted in public. They made the Germans seem more important, braver and stronger than the Jews so that it would attract non-Jews and get them on board. with what was happening and turn them against the Jews. They believed that the Aryan was the master race, which is basically the opposite of a Jew. (An Introductory History of the Holocaust) Aryan had light skin, blond hair, and blue eyes. Jews have olive skin, dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. The hate is made worse with... middle of paper... in the story to make sure it never happens again. Anyone can make a difference.
