The purpose of Samuel P. Huntington's “The Clash of Civilizations” was to provide an academic framework for understanding almost every conflict that has erupted since end of the 20th century, to the point of predicting the appearance of future conflicts. According to Huntington there will be a clash of civilizations because since the end of the Cold War the world is in an unreasonable era and the position of the nation-state no longer has any meaning. Much more than the political objectives of territorial conquest, it is the religious element of culture that becomes the main cause of conflict. It should be recognized that Huntington's “Clash of Civilizations” is a relatively simple theory that focuses on illuminating the details of international politics. Samuel P. Huntington's article played a major role in establishing today's field of international relations by defining culture and religion as the main culprits in today's international conflicts. However, validating this standard requires the ability to describe and interpret the real world and motivate people to research how this theory helps understand current conflicts. According to Huntington, a new kind of resistance thrived in the conflict of the Middle Ages. between the principles and antagonisms between the post-Westphalian nations after the end of the Cold War. This new type of conflict, however, pits the seven or eight main civilizations against each other, namely Western, confused, Japanese, Islamic, Hindu, Slavic Orthodox, Latin American and perhaps African civilizations. With the end of political philosophies, individuals would feel a close recognition regarding shared cultural characteristics and, consequently, would recognize that they are...... middle of paper..., especially where extremist governments are involved. With the benefit of observation, one could question Huntington's main objection of wanting to provide political leaders with a basic theoretical framework for analyzing world politics or of wanting to pave the way for the United States administration in preparation for a intervention in American foreign policy at the right time. beginning of the twenty-first century.
