Homeless young adults have increased health concerns due to poor living conditions, malnutrition and impaired development, and still rarely have access to health services. This is not only due to their socioeconomic status, but also to other factors such as the stigmatization of homelessness and the fear of discriminatory attitudes and of being judged by healthcare professionals (Haldenby, Berman, & Forchuk, 2007). Other factors that limit access to health services include transportation and the need to find food and shelter. Furthermore, the longer a person lives on the streets, the risk of losing their family doctor increases, therefore, they rely on clinics and emergency rooms for health services. Because these alternatives are extremely expensive, many people only seek medical care when it is the last possible one
