I chose to watch Gone with the Wind for my epic. I really liked the movie. Gone with the Wind is about a girl named Scarlett O'Hara, the daughter of an Irish immigrant who in 1861 owns a plantation called Tara in Georgia. Scarlett is infatuated with Ashley Wilkes, who, although attracted to her, marries her cousin, Melanie Hamilton. At the party announcing Ashley's engagement to Melanie, Scarlett meets Rhett Butler, who has a reputation as a scoundrel. At the start of the Civil War, Scarlett accepts a marriage proposal from a man she doesn't love and then dies in the war. After the war, Scarlett inherits Tara and manages to keep the place going. When desperate measures are taken and Scarlett cannot find the money to pay Tara, she marries a rich man who later dies attacking the men who attacked her. After that Rhett confesses his love and they marry, but when things get difficult and Scarlett's true colors appear, he packs his bags and leaves.
