PLEASANT OR NOT PLEASANT?Welcome to the world of drugs, sex, crime and the worst climate you could ever imagine. Or, if it were a choice, would you rather jump in front of the TV and join all your friends in the perfect place. Nothing is ever out of order, there are no "F's" to worry about, you do everything the same way every day and if you do something it will be perfect. The biggest problem that would arise would be Mrs. Smith's cat getting stuck in the tree again. Luckytown, you ask? No, it's Pleasantville. Sounds great, right? Who wouldn't want to live there? But there must always be someone who corrupts everything. This story that started with two brothers who hated each other because of their popularity at school turned into a beautiful film. The sister was a punk and the brother was a nerd, their views on life were very different. When her sister, Reese Witherspoon, plans to see her soon as her boyfriend to watch the MTV Awards, her brother, Toby Magurie, has already made plans to watch his favorite TV show Pleasantville. As the two fight over the remote control, they break it. A mysterious old man shows up claiming to be the TV repairman. Both brothers wonder why he showed up at their door. They let him in; he ends up testing his brother in Pleasantville. Then he gives the two a large, powerful remote control that would drive anyone crazy. They are immediately projected on the TV. When they arrive in Pleasantville they are both shocked and don't know what to do. The brother tries to convince the sister to play along, but this is not his inner nature. He plays for a while in front of his brother. He quickly gets tired of all that cuteness and starts playing with everyone. Show them bad things and the result of this is color. Everyone starts to change color, and the gray people are disgusted by the change, because it's not what they're used to. As the film progresses, everything changes. It has a bit of the effect of war. A bad thing happens and everyone suffers. The sister and brother need to start getting along to keep everyone sane. The idea of change was the reason everyone was changing. Teenagers would have sex and turn into colors, they would read and turn into colors, and even chew gum and turn into colors..
