Topic > What is love? The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien

Have you ever felt the feeling of butterflies in your stomach or heard the phrase "my heart skipped a beat for you"? As children, we grew up learning from our elders and experiencing new beginnings in life. Much of our knowledge comes from what we see and hear, rather than what we know. Many important decisions we make in our lives have to do with what our feelings show us. Love is an important issue in our life because it motivates us in different ways. Love can be shown through emotions or even through actions. What is a precious definition of love? A short definition of love can be defined as a variety of different feelings or attitudes ranging from interpersonal affection to pleasure. In other words, for me love is when two people share the same inner feelings such as emotional and physical attraction towards each other. Love is an emotion that can be described to control a person's feelings by being put together through emotions, not being confused with friendship, and being constructed like a puzzle. So, how is love achieved? Love can be created through the emotions that two people share together. To build a good structure there must be a good foundation. Love can be seen as a puzzle in how each piece must be put together for the whole picture to be complete. Once completed, it cannot be changed unless a piece is taken away. A good foundation of love is built by people getting to know each other and creating strong bonds. Unity is important because it creates a bond of trust between two people. Although love can be strong in person, there are still people who can confuse it because of objects or even words. An example of this confusion can be shown in the novel “The...... middle of paper……ain. As mentioned above, love manifests itself through emotions and controls our decisions and how we think. Love is a wonderful feeling once shared with another person. It can lead to a better outcome in life and fill us with happiness and warmth. Sharing love with another person is useful to always have mutual help when dealing with problems and to be happy in life. Works Cited Plato: The Allegory of the Cave.
