While some children truly belong in prison, others deserve a second chance. Ultimately, we all need to keep in mind that they are young children who are prone to making mistakes they didn't intend to make. What I agree with is that in these cases we need to start recognizing the victim or the victim's family, who seem to be lost in this debate. I also agree that we need to fix the juvenile justice system so that we don't have to resort to adult prisons as a last resort, and so we will have more criminals abandoning their past crimes to create a better life for themselves. Despite this, I continue to believe that juvenile criminals do not deserve life in prison
