However, if all of humanity will do the graduate type work, then my question is, who will do the work work? What if there are many computers in society made by a person with a college degree, but no electrician (a person without a college degree) to use them? Technology would be useless if there was no one to provide it to people. In today's society, it is too difficult to find an affordable, highly experienced carpenter or electrician, while it is too easy to find those qualities in a doctor or lawyer (Murray 678). Some might even say that people need to go to college to gain experience in certain things. Conversely, people can also gain experience from the real world instead of college. My uncle doesn't have an engineering degree, but he still knows more about engineering than any first or second year engineering student.
