King Henry VIII was one of the most powerful rulers of the 15th century, who led a very fascinating life that many people are unaware of. Many people know Henry VIII as a raging king with too many wives, but there's more to Henry VIII. Very few people know about his life and his true contributions to our world. Henry VIII was an all-powerful leader in England who will not soon be forgotten. Henry VIII was born in Greenwich, England, on 28 June 1491. At the age of just two Henry was made Constable of Dover Castle and Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. When he was three years old he was created Duke of York. As a child Henry VIII was a well behaved and respectful child. His parents were Henry VII and Elizabeth of York, and he was their second child. His siblings were Arthur (1486-1502), Margaret (1489-1541) and Mary (1496-1533). He was an extremely studious student. He studied French, Spanish, Italian and Latin, along with music, theology and mathematics. Henry VIII's education during his childhood was provided by his grandmother, Margaret Beaufort. He had many other tutors, including John Skelton (teacher of rhetoric and literature), Bernard Andre (teacher of Latin) and Giles d'Ewes (teacher of French). His musical knowledge was extraordinary as he played the lute, organ and harpsichord. He also composed several pieces of music later in his life, two of which are called "Passtime with Good Company" and "The Kynges Ballade". Other things he enjoyed doing as a child were wrestling, hunting, gambling, tennis, archery, dancing and jousting. Henry VIII was clearly a very well-rounded child who aimed as high as possible in all aspects of his life. Enrico's brother Arturo dies... middle of the card... wide. Henry VIII was also responsible for religious reform in England and changed the English religion from the Roman Catholic faith to the Protestant religion and established the Church of England. If it were not for King Henry VIII, England would not have been as rich as it was due to the Dissolution of the Monasteries. The Act of Appeal helped England's constitutional development, once again, all thanks to Henry VIII. King Henry VIII had a huge political, military and religious impact on history and England. The reign of Henry VIII was indeed very important due to all the changes it mainly affected England. This skilled king also fathered three children who all became queens or kings. Henry VIII had a huge impact on England, not only during the 15th century, but hundreds of years after his death.
