Even though I'm here on the other side of the world, miles and miles away from home. However, I cannot help but speak lightly of the upcoming local government elections. Once again, we have the power to change the political landscape of Hinundayan. Our city has come to a crossroads and we are here to witness the door opening to exercise our rights to choose a person in whom we firmly believe and have complete confidence has a true commitment to public service as the head of our local government. I had learned that the stakes in the upcoming elections are very high, especially in the mayoral race, of course! Some of my friends say that “boy” Molina will achieve the planned goal to win because he is an enthusiastic action-packed man with courageous tenacity characterized by imagination, initiative and willingness to undertake new sets of ideas for the good of Hinundayan. However, some of them also say that "eboy" Lee can still make it to stay in the position because they also have confidence in his way of governing our city in his first term as mayor as well as having all the power means and resources from the perspective economic. Despite this account, I did my best to absorb it crystal clear. I have tried to consider every single word they say logically to truly understand the nature and meaning of their observations. As a result, I have discovered that the linear units of measurement they use to bring out the best and worst in these would-be candidates are all based on their social status, level of education, principles of life, stupidity, ignorance and about deep personal feelings that are oriented towards some real or perceived grievance against the candidate. And for this...... middle of paper...... deal with all the employees and his constituents? Is she/he someone extraordinarily skilled in any field with special knowledge or skills who acts skillfully in his/her position for the good of all Hinundayanon and not just a select few? Yes, in my continued deep contemplation on this matter, I believe these are the questions of immediate importance we should ask ourselves if we are confident enough that our goals are for the betterment of Hinundayan. Finally, it is a fact that people from different walks of life are not similar in many ways. They have different views, understanding and priorities in life as will. However, these same people deserve our understanding and respect because they have their rights as human beings like us. Even though most of them try harder to make morally reprehensible offensive comments than is healthy?
