No matter where you go, most people you meet will have a smartphone. In fact, a study conducted in 2013 states that 22% of people in the world own a smartphone. For those who don't think that sounds like much, think of it this way. If you choose five people in the world, at least one will own a smartphone. (Heggestuen NP) These numbers are substantially high in my book. For those who have been living under a rock for thirty years, the smartphone is a device that allows you to make phone calls but also to connect wirelessly to other compatible access points. Everyone has their own reasons for buying a smartphone: from a convenient device that helps you with your work to the unique touchscreen method, or it could simply be that it has a wide variety of fun and/or useful apps. Many businesses use smartphones to help get things done or simply if it's their job to make or repair them. If you're traveling, a smartphone could act as a GPS to help you get to appointments faster and on time. A smartphone can also be a very useful address book that you can use to get quick information when your superiors ask you to call or email someone, you can simply check your phone to get the information you need. Third, a smartphone is sometimes used to quickly search for small pieces of information when they arrive early. Fourth, it's helpful for keeping up with a hectic (or not) schedule. The fifth way it helps complete business tasks is that it can help a business quickly access a customer's data. Coming in sixth place is that it can help a company update its information across a large number of social media mentions. Finally, it is used to get the answer to a question someone asks you when you are puzzled about it. (Connick NP)Another statement from f...... middle of paper......I'm still excited about the new features these big (or small) companies will think of and how they will incorporate them into their new smartphones .Works Cited• Heggestuen, John.
