PART A:1. Obesity has changed radically over time due to the habits that society has become accustomed to. Many fast food restaurants are present in almost every city. This makes it easy for anyone to eat when they want and as much as they want. Plus, price has a lot to do with how easy it is to eat fast food. Fast food is a cheap, quick and easy meal that anyone can purchase. Another cause of obesity is outdoor activities that children no longer take advantage of. Playgrounds these days are no longer as important as they once were. As technology has increased, which helps contribute to obesity, more and more children are more interested in these high-tech things rather than doing outside activities. These technologies do not require children to get up and do any kind of activity. An example is television, which also advertises many commercials for food products that make people want that food. This is making society a lazier world.2. Excess fat in our bodies affects everyone's bodies, in ways that many wouldn't even realize. Fat doesn't just affect one organ in the body, but every organ. Obesity cannot always be attributed to a specific person as obesity is passed down and is genetic. The abdomen provides a visual deposit of fat inside, and obesity leads to a fatty liver. The health problems that obesity can cause are blindness, arthritis and even amputations. Obesity not only affects fat deposits, but also measurements of the abdomen, waist, etc. The bigger a person gets, the bigger the heart becomes, forcing it to pump blood harder throughout the body. Plaque can lead to blood clots that can block arteries and cause parts of the heart to stop working, and the consequences of this can be heart attacks and high blood pressure. like cereals which all have different advertising messages such as vitamin D, whole grains and rich in fibre. However, of all these obese children, only 20% of parents seek medical care for their children. Michelle Obama gave a speech that motivated people to increase healthy foods and not let our children be influenced by those bunnies on TV advertising their cereal. Other things to consider are school lunches which are still an unhealthy meal for children and problems with sugary drinks. Juices contain almost the same amount of sugar as pops. These videos really opened my eyes and I learned a lot. I've been motivated to try to take a stand and cut down on all this junk food I consume. I am more motivated to get checked out, improve my health and help my family and younger cousins do something about their health.
