Humans have inhabited the Earth for thousands of years, and many believe we are among the most intellectual species on this planet. Despite having lived on this planet for so long, the ability to distinguish fact from fiction has slipped the minds of many. People in today's society are easily influenced by what they are told instead of what can be proven. Believing in something that has no scientific proof is not only absurd but can simply be classified as ignorance. Many of the erratic ideas that many believe today originated in a time when superstition was more popular than science. These beliefs appear to be proven by science, but in reality they are not valid and are often confused with true psychology, this is called pseudoscience or pseudopsychology. These beliefs remain intact for many years mainly because those who choose to believe these pseudopsychologies are the ones who try to prove that they are actually valid and tend to ignore the evidence that proves them to be wrong. Errors of pseudopsychology: the scientific method can be used as a tool. The scientific method is a form of critical thinking based on careful collection of evidence, accurate description and measurement, precise definition, controlled observation, and repeatable results (Jackson, 2008). This method is composed of 6 organs: 1. Making Observations; 2. Define a problem; 3. Propose a hypothesis; 4. Gathering evidence/Hypothesis testing; 5. Interpret/analyze data and draw conclusions; 6.By publishing the results, many scientists repeat their experiment to obtain more accurate results. The scientific method and many other similar techniques have been used for thousands of... halves of paper... each.
