Before undertaking leadership development activities I must appreciate that I have personal leadership skills and aptitude. While not all people are born with the ability to lead, my personal characteristics can greatly hinder my leadership effectiveness. This scenario can, however, be alleviated through specialized training (Carter, Ulrich & Goldsmith, 2005). Even where there appear to be challenges, I need to see possibilities if I want to manage these challenges and be a leader in the industry. As an individual I aspire to become the CEO or Executive Chairman of a multinational company. I aspire to lead a marketing company with multi-product capabilities and grow it into a global giant in terms of products and market penetration. In particular, having a great interest in the food industry, I aspire to build my success around the Del Monte Group companies, although I will keep my mind open to divergent opinions, subsequent developments and also interests as I am as dynamic as you would expect that man is Being. This opinion is largely supported by the international mobility policies they have adopted which I have come to admire greatly and which I consider key to my professional development (Mamende, 2008). To achieve this, I must have excelled as a manager. therefore in marketing. I also need to make good use of my analytical skills and ensure that I am brave enough to penetrate new markets that are considered risky investments. History has shown that market dominance can only be achieved through aggressive marketing even in seemingly difficult markets. As CEO or Executive Chairman, I must also be able to formulate policies for the organization to move it towards greater profitability. For this reason I should ensure that the financial aspects of such outcomes are well taken care of, therefore I have made an estimated financial projection of the same and have taken out insurance coverage to the same effect so as to cover any eventuality. I believe I will make my dreams come true to the fullest, even if I have to work towards educational excellence, emotional integrity, making sure I have great communication skills, and completing all desired professional certifications.
