When a person is saved from hell to heaven by the grace of God and the death of Jesus Christ, he becomes a new creature. The things he was must be left behind and he must strive to become Christlike (2 Corinthians 5:17). Jesus Christ was the only blameless, sinless, and perfect human being who ever walked the face of the earth. There is no possible way for anyone to achieve such perfection. The only way one can approach it is to put aside all the things of this world and live for Christ alone. You must walk for Christ, talk for Christ, live for Christ. Thus you will encounter persecution and hardship from outside forces no matter how you have to resist. You must suffer as Christ suffered. After all, you are the reason for Christ's suffering. If he had not willingly gone to the cross, there would have been no salvation. There would be no eternal life. God cannot look at us unless we are covered in the blood of Christ.
