NameTutorCourseDateStory and character: The film “Intolerable Cruelty” The film “Intolerable Cruelty” is a dark, humorous and macabre story that provides satirical insights into the plot of the film. These insights connect the absurdity and working relationships of social conventions, which are less cutting edge than audience expectations. The imagery employed in this film is less bizarre while the tone is more sophisticated and subtle than the films "Fargo" and "Barton Fink". The plot shows some aspects of “rejection” that are limited by the desire to experiment, once again, and by past successes. The film begins with an animated opening title, which is a delightful and wonderful little piece in Hollywood films. This scene creates offbeat humor, while at the same time reassuring the audience through ironic and rueful comments on the ancient imagery of romance. Evidently, the film incorporated visuals, a well-elaborated plot, and a striking opening that suits Hollywood films. Movie Plot This movie is a romantic comedy that encapsulates on-screen chemistry as an extraordinary gold digger and divorce lawyer demonstrates romantic feelings in court as well as courtship. Miles Massey, one of the best divorce lawyers in Los Angeles, is the king of the prenuptial agreement, The Massey Pre-Nup, which had never been successful in the courts. Exuding charm and success, Miles longs for a new test in his life and meets the gorgeous Marylin Rexroth. With his experience, Miles defeats Marylin in a divorce case from her rich, fetishist husband, Rex Rexroth. Miles is openly infatuated with Marylin's charms, and she is planning to take revenge against Miles even though she is also attracted to him. Unfortunately, she ruined...... middle of paper ......ch communicates the message to the public that rich people have authority over the poor. For example, Rexroth, a rich man, can hire the best lawyer. Furthermore, Marylin pretends to be in love with Howard to get a share of his riches. These scenes highlight that wealth is synonymous with power and dominance, a typical characteristic of modern films. From what has been discussed above it can be established that there is a correlation between traditional and current films. For example, the roles of the film's main characters are developed over the course of the film, just like in today's films. Furthermore, the use of animation complements the humorous part of a film. From Miles and Marylin's love story we can deduce that true love surpasses the love of money. In the end, the protagonist gets a happy ending while the antagonist suffers from his inhumane actions.
