Wide-angle lenses allow you to include more of the scene in the photograph, making them very useful for interior photography. With the large viewing area there is some perspective distortion that makes the outer portion of the image appear inflated. The wide-angle lens has a tendency to make the distance between the subject and the background appear much larger than it actually is. With a large coverage area, the space between the subject and the camera is significantly reduced, making it much easier for the photographer to take photos in indoor areas such as homes. Some of the popular wide angle lenses would be: the Canon EF-S ten to twenty-two millimeter lens, the Nikon AF-S DX ten to twenty-four millimeter lens, and the Sigma eight to sixteen millimeter.
