Topic > Essay on Cloning - 767

The topic I chose was cloning, but I will focus on human cloning. Dolly the sheep was the first mammal to be created using cloning technology in 1997. With the birth of Dolly the sheep came the possibility that one day humans could be cloned. It took 277 times to create Dolly, the sheep who suffers from arthritis and premature aging. In December 2002, a Raelin religious group claimed that a human child had been cloned but this had not been scientifically confirmed. In 1962 John Gurdon claimed to have cloned South African frogs from the differentiated nucleus of adult intestinal cells. In 1964, F.E. Stewart grew a complete carrot plant using carrot root cells and to demonstrate that cell cloning was possible. Francis Crick and James Watson were the first pioneers to discover the double helix structure of DNA in 1953. This increased scientific research into human genetic codes and discovered the possibility of cloning. According to Vos (2004), "In 1984, Steen Willadsun cloned a sheep from embryonic cells, which were the predecessor of Dolly's cloning method." In 2002, chemist Boisselier and CEO of Clonaid, cloned Eva, the first baby to be cloned and she weighed 7 pounds; she is known to be a healthy and happy child. Eve was created by a 31-year-old American woman who donated her DNA for a cloning process. The woman did not give her name, but her embryo was implanted and then gestated until the child, who would form an identical twin as an exact genetic duplicate of the mother. The reason she decided to donate her DNA was because her husband was sterile due to cloning. There are two ways to create an exact genetic copy: twinning of artificial embryos and somatic cell nuclear transfer. Artificial embryo... at the center of the article... the fact is that in some states research on human clones has been banned, in others it has been legally guaranteed without funding and in California, for example, research on embryonic stem cells. that human cloning should not be controversial because it gives people a second chance to live longer or become parents for the first time. I think it will be very useful in the future and also won't hurt anyone. For some people they might not think it is a good idea because of the different features it might have, but on the other hand it is used for good. Human cloning seems strange, but I think it's interesting to know that animals and humans can be cloned. I would like to know more, this is one of the reasons why I decided to write about this topic. Human cloning is a good thing even if there are side effects to this problem, but it doesn't harm anyone, it helps the world.
