In Shakespeare's tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, the two main characters, Romeo and Juliet, both commit suicide due to unfortunate events. Friar Lawrence, a priest who plays the role of Romeo and Juliet's advisor, is directly responsible for their untimely deaths. Although there are many factors causing their deaths, Friar Lawrence's reckless mistakes were the most influential. The friar quickly marries the two reckless lovers in secret, intrudes on the Capulets' wedding ceremony by giving Juliet poison, and trusts someone else to send a very important letter to Romeo. If it weren't for these three significant mistakes by Frate, Romeo and Juliet would probably still be alive. Therefore, Friar Laurence should be condemned for his reckless behavior. Romeo and Juliet are two lovers who fall in love faster than the blink of an eye. The same day the lovers meet, Juliet already decides to ask Romeo for her hand. Romeo agrees and confronts the friar the next morning about the wedding. Friar was very knowledgeable about Romeo's love life and had questioned Romeo's sudden change of heart. In the tragedy the Friar says “Holy Saint Francis! What a change is here! Is Rosaline, whom you loved so much, abandoned so soon? The love of young people therefore does not truly reside in their hearts, but in their eyes." (II.3.65-68)Here, the Friar knows better than to marry Romeo and Juliet so soon. However, he decides to do it anyway because he believes it will undo the hatred between Montague and Capulet. The decision to have the two marry so soon in secret is Friar's first mistake. As a priest, it is wrong for the friar to marry the two without the consent of both families. If the friar had confronted Capulet... in the middle of the paper... it would be very dangerous..." (2:17-20). The fact that Friar John conveyed the message to Romeo was imprudent and shows how the friar Don't think things through. Because Friar Laurence didn't think things through, Romeo commits suicide and so does Juliet. Therefore, Romeo and Juliet's blood lies on Friar's hands as it was his reckless planning that led to their deaths of the characters besides Friar Lawrence have made poor choices throughout the play However, the friar makes reckless decisions that will seal the fate of Romeo and Juliet his decisions to quickly marry the two reckless lovers in secret and to entrust the letter to Friar John, were all wrong decisions, the consequences of these choices demonstrate that the Friar is entirely responsible for the tragedy of this comedy.
