Topic > Kay Arthur: Co-founder of Precept Ministries International

My topic for this semester was Kay Arthur. Kay is the co-founder of Precept Ministries International, an inspiring speaker, and has written over a hundred books and Bible studies. At age 80, Kay still teaches and speaks at women's conferences around the world. As I read Augustine's "On Christian Doctrine," I was reminded of a similar book written by Kay Arthur titled "Lord, Teach Me to Study the Bible." in 28 days." I feel that Kay Arthur does an exceptional job of coaching through inductive study of the Scriptures. Asks the right questions to help you find the answers yourself. Kay Arthur is great at directing your thinking to keep it methodical, while at the same time allowing you to come to conclusions on your own. In some respects, the book can be considered written in question and answer format, but Kay offers the necessary explanations and guidance. Kay teaches study methods throughout the book that reveal how to begin analyzing the Bible little by little. After you finish “Lord, Teach Me to Study the Bible in 28 Days” by Kay Arthur, you will see how to look at a chapter of Scripture. You will know how to exhaust it. You'll know where and how to start digging as you progress through the story. Kay encourages the use of colored pencils and symbols as you progress through your Bible study. For example, you can find all the references to prayer in a chapter and color them green with a colored pencil. Kay encourages you to stay consistent with symbols and colors throughout the Bible. Sometimes, after evaluating a chapter, you will look at your page and feel like there is a color or symbol on every word in the chapter. Kay Arthur teaches how to recognize key words and phrases by making lists, summarizing the chapter... middle of paper... a danger. Our culture is undoubtedly destroyed. “We have lost the fear of God as a nation. Our walls of protection and righteousness have collapsed and we live in the rubble,” said Kay (True Woman). As I read “The Abolition of Man” and listen to Kay's message Arthur from the True Woman lecture, reassures me that with complete trust no man will ever come to the Father except through Jesus.
