I, Sai Pradeep Keesari, have completed my undergraduate studies specializing in Mechanical Engineering from MVSR Engineering College, affiliated to Osmania University. I have a strong desire to contribute to the field of mechanical engineering and solve complex practical problems in the same. With this goal in mind, I seek admission to the MS program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Houston. Understanding real-life phenomena and their physics intrigued me from the beginning. I was in 11th grade when I first came across “The Fundamentals of Physics” by Robert Resnick, David Halliday, and Jearl Walker. The book not only explains many practical phenomena and their relationship to physics, but also provides the problems associated with certain situations and a lucid methodology for solving each of these problems. It was while reading this book that I became fascinated with mechanical engineering and its application to the world around me. Sensing my interest in mechanics, my instructor gave his personal copies of "University Physics" by Sears and Zemansky, "Problem Solving in Physics" by Irodov, and "Vector Mechanics for Engineers" by Ferdinand Beer and Russell Johnson, and I asked to delve deeper into the Mechanics section in each of them. These books and the problems I solved in them fostered my interest in the subject. Fueled by this fascination, and further encouraged by my school's progressive environment, I decided to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering for my undergraduate degree. With my interest in the topic and sincere and...... middle of paper.... ..asm I know that there is so much to explore in these fields. I believe I will be able to perform well in these fields as I have been exposed to the basic concepts for the last 6 years and having professional experience helps a lot in understanding the few intricate intricacies of any subject. From carefully studying the information available on the website and through consultation with seniors and friends who graduated from the University of Houston, I firmly believe that undertaking graduate studies at your university will provide me with the opportunity to hone my skills. I wish to state that I will make the most of all the opportunities given to me and pursue my goals with full dedication and live up to the high standards set by the university. I sincerely hope that my application for admission to your esteemed institution will be favorably received.
