STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThe statement of purpose is intended to express my aspiration to pursue my career through a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from your esteemed university, as well as the description of my plans after graduation my degree. I have a great compulsion towards practical industrial work environment and therefore I wish to pursue graduate studies. Since my school days I have shown a keen interest in mathematics and physics which have improved my quantitative and analytical skills. This strength enabled me to score 84.8% in 10th class. I passed higher secondary school with 85%. The competitive spirit within me has acted as a catalyst in all my academic successes. I started studying Mechanical Engineering at AVN COLLEGE, affiliated to the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University of Technology. My first exposure to the mechanical field in my first semester was with conventional lathes and the Institute's modern flexible manufacturing laboratories aroused my curiosity to learn and delve deeper into the subject. The various mechanical engineering courses instilled a lot of enthusiasm in me. Attending various mechanical seminars held in our college during technical festivals helped me understand the practical aspects of mechanical engineering. Undergraduate study has given me comprehensive exposure to a wide spectrum of courses namely Design Engineering, Machine Kinematics, Graphics Engineering, Finite Element Analysis, Thermodynamics, Solid Mechanics, Robotics, Computer Aided Design/Manufacturing computer-assisted, etc. I strongly believe in "learning by doing". It is the hope of arriving at innovative results tinged with an element of uncertainty that makes experimental results out...... middle of the paper... and pioneering research. I would consider it an honor if I could study in your esteemed university. I would be happy if I were given a research or teaching position because, in addition to easing the financial burden, it would greatly help me prepare for a career in research and teaching. I look forward to a challenging career in research which can also be arduous and demanding at times, but I am confident that with my sincerity and dedication I will be able to make a significant contribution to ongoing research and live up to the high standards expected at your university.
