Heathers is set in a small town in Ohio and involves high school teenagers. In the opening scenes the Heathers talk and begin to move closer to play crochet, as they get up to approach the crochet game they intentionally step on the flowers. Veronica is writing in her journal: “Dear Journal: Heather told me she teaches people about 'real life.' He said real life drains losers. You want to fuck with eagles; you have to learn to fly. I said, so you teach people how to spread their wings and fly? She said yes. I said you're beautiful." Evident from the inflection in Veronica's voice, she's fed up with Heather. She managed to save everyone except JD, who tied a bomb to himself and blew himself up outside the school In the final scene of the film Veronica is walking down the hall and took a tape that belonged to Heather Chandler from Heather Duke the current "leader" and stated "Heather, my love, there's a new sheriff in town". Veronica walked up to Martha Dunnstock and said, "Hey Martha, my prom date threw me a little, I was wondering if you weren't going to do anything that night, maybe we could rent some new releases and do some ' of popcorn". Veronica is trying to fix her bad girl ways and make friends with the people she treated badly.
