Have you ever looked forward to going to the gym only to find that your confidence starts to fade as soon as you start warming up? Well, you're not alone in what is now known as gymnasticstimidation. This newly coined phrase is used to describe the collapse of confidence that many gym-goers experience every time they work out in a public gym. For men, the confidence drop comes when they find themselves lifting weights next to an aspiring bodybuilder. Women may fear the prospect of appearing out of shape or appearing unable to use weights and other equipment. Regardless of the reason, giving in to intimidating gymnastics only means that the road to your personal fitness goals will be bumpy and difficult. So, how do you combat this? How do you make yourself comfortable in an environment that should facilitate a positive experience? The answer is simple: join a gym where other club-goers work together to achieve their individual goals and where trained professionals are more than happy to come along for the ride; join Brick Bodies of Baltimore.Brick Bodies was founded in 1985 by Victor and Lynne Brick. The first structure was Brick Bodies in Padonia, and will be the focus of this review. However, as of today, there are seven club locations in the Baltimore area. Five of these are mixed facilities and two of these are women-only facilities. Victor and Lynne's goal when opening Brick Bodies was to provide all the amenities you would expect from a world-class health club organization, while maintaining a comfortable atmosphere. The facilities are privately owned and operated, so it is not uncommon to see both Victor and Lynne walking around the clubs talking to members and making sure they are satisfied... middle of paper... all susceptible to gymnasticstimidation. The only way to achieve your fitness goals is to be able to exercise with confidence. For this to happen you need to be in an environment that makes you feel comfortable. The best place to escape gym intimidation is Brick Bodies, where all the amenities to succeed are available. It will be difficult to avoid embarking on a healthy eating and exercise plan with the help of your free personal training sessions, and everyone from class instructors to front desk staff is there to encourage you along the way. The most important way to combat intimidating gymnastics is to find a space where you feel free to make mistakes without being judged. Most importantly, find a space where your fellow members will support you on your path to a new healthy lifestyle and new you.
