Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin are two of the most sadistic dictators of the last century. Both reigned terror in Europe during World War II. Fueled by anger and anger, Hitler and Stalin rose to power and exploited their beliefs throughout Germany and Russia. Stalin turned Russia into a communist country while Hitler turned Germany against the Jews. The leadership of these dictators brought death and fear to many who opposed them. Hitler and Stalin both shared difficult childhoods, vicious fathers, doting mothers, girl problems, and paranoia. Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin were defined by their unpleasant childhoods, prejudicial beliefs, and obsession with power. On December 21, 1879, Joseph Stalin was born in Gori, Georgia. Controlled and beaten by his abusive, alcoholic father, Joseph later became a violent dictator who suffered from an inferiority complex and paranoia. As a boy, Stalin was quick to get angry and hold grudges against people. Hoping that Joseph could become a priest, his mother enrolled him in the church choir. In 1894, Joseph entered the Tiflis Theological Seminary to begin his studies in Russian Orthodox Christianity. When he attended school, teachers noticed Stalin's stubborn and sadistic side. He was attracted by revolutionary terrorism and Marxism. After five years in the seminary, Joseph was expelled for revolutionary activities. Ten years after Joseph's birth, Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau, Austria. Like Joseph, Hitler was beaten regularly by his father who was a strict disciplinarian. As a boy, Hitler wanted to become a priest and, like Stalin, sang in the church choir. In 1900 Hitler enrolled in elementary school.
