'We're all crazy here.'” quoted by a very creative and imaginative author, Lewis Carroll, author of the successful Alice novels. This short novel was written by a man of extreme integrity and ultra conservative where his unique character and many experiences had a great influence in the creation of Through the Looking Glass. Of all of Carroll's works, Alice's Through the Looking Glass, has a unique way of expressing the adventures and stating the events in which they occur throughout the entire novel, making the novel exceptional in the category of whimsical and nonsensical literature. The novel comprises 12 chapters where each new chapter takes you to different exotic settings introducing you to many peculiar characters involving the one and only Alice, the Tweedledum twins, the Red Queen, the White King, Humpty Dumpty Walrus and Carpenter. The meeting with these characters led her to finally reach what had been her goal from the beginning; it finally reached its normal size, arriving in the garden. The events and settings involved in Through the Looking Glass make it a very imaginative and imaginative novel. Carroll's imagination takes readers with Alice to the place where she finds the Looking Glass House. Using the game of chess as the setting for his novel, he fills the novel with situations and puzzles from the ordinary to the extraordinary; including silly characters and adventures where they might not make sense, using the game of chess as the setting. How do the environments we grow up in influence our perspectives? How does an individual resist culture and tradition? How does a person's perception influence their understanding of a text? Why is it important...... middle of paper ...... in an illogical world with nonsensical ideas and its imaginative mind expressed throughout the novel, it may seem that the novel is quite childish and that the pay is about only children and young adults, but conversely anyone who decides to pick up the book and take time to read will discover the fun in the book, no matter what age; you can't be too young or too old.
