George Orwell's novel Animal Farm is a satire of the Russian Revolution and its famous leaders. The main character of Napoleon is a satire of Joseph Stalin, both men played an important role in each of their revolutions. Orwell made Napoleon a spitting image of Stalin, but could not release this information when the novel was published. Napoleon and Stalin are very similar in many ways, but some of the main reasons are that they ruled by terror, changing laws/history to their advantage, and changing their country. Joseph Stalin and Napoleon are both communists with the demand for power. They both had similar ways of ruling, but one of the main reasons is that they ruled with an iron fist and they ruled with terror.
