They also want to keep the family orchard as it is, when dividing it would save them and their family's happiness. The Three Sisters is a play about the four children of a soldier leader who died and left his fortune to the children but they waste it. The son marries a terrible woman who only cares about his wants and needs without regard for his sisters. The middle sister is the only one who leaves home and gets married, although she is okay with her situation, she is not happy.
