Today heroes truly lie in one's beliefs. For one, a hero can be a normal human being, for another this man or woman means everything to them and is truly admirable for every little thing they do. Heroes are seen differently whether it is fiction or non-fiction, but whether a true hero or a fake, that hero will remain in someone's heart as a person who changed something in someone in a significant way. In the stories “Ranch Girl” by Maile Meloy, “The Red Convertible by Louise Erdrich, and “The Superman and Me” by Sherman Alexie, the heroes are seen from three different perspectives that give a simple word hero in three different definitions that show different heroes in the world.
