For an officer, having a camera on your person recording your every move and every word can not only be very inconvenient and distracting, but also an invention of your privacy. They would no longer be able to express their opinion or scratch their armpit or something as simple as sneeze without feeling like the camera on their uniform is preventing them from doing so and feeling comfortable and safe while doing so. It will not only be intimidating for the public to know that the police officer is recording their every move and word, but it can make both suspects and victims feel unsafe and uncomfortable. For example, if a victim of domestic violence is asked to show her bruises or other injuries, she may feel hesitant knowing that the action in which she exposes her shoulder or chest will be recorded and that several people will.
