Die Fledermaus is an operetta about friends' revenge. The antagonist, Doctor Falke, plots and carries out his revenge against his old friend. After a masquerade ball, Gabriel, the protagonist, transports his dear but drunk friend Dr. Falke to the city center and leaves him passed out on a park bench. He is dressed as a bat and lies with his pants down. He wakes up to find a large crowd laughing at him. This begins the Bat's revenge plot.Dr. Falke then prepares very well and cleverly prepares a plan to embarrass Gabriel. He arranges for everyone to attend a prince's ball and not be recognized by Gabriel. Instead of serving an 8-day prison sentence, Gabriel woos a woman at this dance. The plot finally unfolds and the truth is told. Gabriel is embarrassed in front of his wife Rosalinda while Falke enters prison and proclaims the "revenge of the bat".
