Since the attack on the World Trade Center, Americans have become more aware of their surroundings and possible scenarios that could occur anytime, anywhere. After 9/11 the US military began more sophisticated interrogations of individuals that could lead to terrorist outbreaks, using the most effective way which is torture to ensure that the safety and lives of Americans are not threatened. Through the use of torture by our military, the United States was able to interfere with the use of terrorism, obtain important information, and save the lives of large numbers of American citizens. Because of the terrorism of 9/11, the United States was able to limit the consequences it might suffer. produce using physical and mental torture versus the emotional torture they used on Citizens. The United States did not start this battle over the use of torture, America had to protect itself from further suffering. “The suffering caused by terrorists is real torture (Jean-Marie Le Pen).” people argue that torture is an inhumane act to deliberately beat a victim physically and mentally. The problem is that there are no other possible solutions to obtain information as effective as torture about such events other than to extort it using torture as the main weapon (the legal prohibition). If the United States wants to pursue the safety of Americans, it must act. As long as there are no bombs exploding all over the world, the United States will continue to use torture.
