Strategic Plan for a Construction Company IntroductionRecently, 6 months ago, I was involved in the reconstruction and renovation of my house. The process took 1.5 years for various reasons, some of which were that we lived in the same house and the upper floor was being built, availability of funds, lack of time on our part etc. But apart from these aspects I have learned that today's construction industry is missing many things. One of them is that there are no truly professional construction companies dealing with the rather small-scale construction of urban houses. In this market sector, traditional "Thekedars" prevail. These people usually have a team of uneducated mystery and mazdoors. There is a serious lack of enforcement of planning and management procedures and practices. The dynamic nature of today's construction industry forces owners and contractors to pursue strategies that improve performance. Ongoing changes and intense competition in the construction industry exacerbate the ability to predict the implications of strategic decisions on business performance. However, decisions are usually made using limited, intuition-based analytics, or evaluated using conventional approaches, which ignore risks and uncertainties. So for this assignment I decided to come up with a strategic plan for a hypothetical construction company. Mission As described in the introduction, the motivation for forming a construction company is to bring modern management and execution strategies to this relatively raw and immature field of small-scale home construction. and there providing convenient, reliable and quick services to this industry. Vision The company's vision is to be a market leader in the construction sector. The goals we intend to set for this company are largely achievable thanks to the current state of this field in general. The construction sector in Pakistan is generally booming. There are many large-scale infrastructure projects underway across Pakistan. Bridges, highways, industries, hotels, resorts, power plants, dams, residential towers, skyscrapers, etc. these are just some of the areas in which a lot of work is being done. Many large national and international construction companies are carrying out all these projects across the country. But despite all this boom, there are very few specialized construction companies that turn to ordinary people for the construction of normal residential houses. I believe that a lot can be achieved in this sector if modern construction tools, equipment and construction techniques are applied accompanied by modern resource management and allocation techniques..
