IntroductionMark Cuban was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in Mount Lebanon, a small suburb of Pittsburgh. Mark is known for being the current owner of the Dallas Mavericks and is known for being an investor on the TV show Shark Tank. The Fox Sports channel made a documentary about Mark Cuban called “Beyond the Glory: A Mark Cuban Story.” This documentary goes back to when he was just a boy and had a knack for making money. Mark and his friend's creativity in making money included selling candy door to door, selling newspapers, and selling stamps and coins. While attending Indiana University, Mark lived on twenty dollars a week while trying to win scholarships. Mark's first real business was buying a coffee shop on campus. Although the bar was eventually closed due to underage drinking, he managed to fill it every night. He finally graduated with a degree in business administration and his journey into the world of business is about to begin. (2013) Mr. Cuban's first venture after graduation was the tech industry, where he worked as a salesman for a PC software retailer. He learned a lot as a salesman, but he couldn't sit back and relax while his boss made a huge profit. Mark decided to start his own business Microsolutions, which he sold to CompuServe eight years later and made a profit of more than five million dollars. Yahoo bought Broadcast, previously called AudioNet, before the tech collapse. Mark and a friend from Indiana University made their fortune. Mark's determination to lead the Dallas Mavericks to becoming NBA champions was a long road, but he kept trying. It took him 10 years but his determination and will to fight brought him success. One of the rules of his success contained in his book and which I have always heard him repeat over the years is "You only have to do the right thing once". Throughout his life, he failed miserably, but just one feat was enough to make him a millionaire. Microsolutions was the company that made him millions of dollars and opened up many possibilities for him to continue to be successful.
