Topic > The abortion debate - 1654

The topic of abortion is one of the most controversial topics affecting our society. The disagreement between those for and against abortion has caused hundreds of clashes that have even led to deaths. Regardless of what many people may accept, fetal removal is neither right nor wrong. It's a matter of individual assessment. As a result, each side can confidently say that the alternative is not right. Consequently the investigation remains; Should premature birth be legal? Although many people may not agree that only legalized abortion is the only way women maintain their rights. You only have to study American history to see the effects of denying women premature births. The cruelty occurring today due to pro/anti-life conflicts is minimal compared to the many sad women who have turned to illegal illegal abortions whether self-produced or performed by "experts" behind the scenes which have resulted in infections, enormous loss of blood, and death. Now that women have a clean, sanitary place to have an abortion, women are at less risk. No matter what side you're on, legalizing abortion is the only option. Women have the right to choose whether to have an abortion or not. They will do what is necessary to live as they want and as they want. Abortion has existed for thousands of years in every inhabited corner of the globe. It has always been accepted as a means of preventing suffering of both the woman and the potential child. It has been widely practiced in every society for many reasons including famine, war, poverty, overpopulation, or simply because a woman felt she was not ready for a child (Whitney 40). No one has ever addressed a woman's right to this system. After all, who but God had the right... at the center of the card... joyful rights that accept that the embryo's right to life prevails over everything else. Unfortunately there will definitely be a difference between laws and religion. WORKS CITED: ~Boyer, Mark. Abortion: the concrete facts. Boston: Houghton Mifflan, 1992.~Cohen, Marshall.
