Technology has played an important role in our daily lives since the 1950s. In the 1950s for example, people had just started hearing about computers for the first time, nowadays technology has advanced so much and now we use it every day for all of our lives to the point that it has become second nature to us. In 2013 everything has progressed so much and so quickly that we almost don't notice it, we continually use computers and technology in general, from our smartphones to tablets etc. in our daily life. The big question is: are all these technological advances and technological devices really a good thing? Technologies in general, like our computers and smartphones, are not necessarily bad things, they offer us many different benefits in today's world. Probably one of the most obvious benefits of technology in our daily lives would be the time it saves us. Every day we use our devices to browse the Internet or make a call, send an email, etc. All these things, even if we don't notice them, saves us a lot of time. Probably one of the biggest advancements since the telephone would be SMS messaging or as we know it better “SMS”, texting is practically second nature to us. We may not notice it, but texting saves us a lot of time, like instead of calling a friend to ask them a question like "Hey, where's the party going to be?" You can simply text them the question and save a lot of time by not calling them and starting a half hour conversation. Not only does texting save us a lot of time, but the Internet also saves us a lot of time instead of having to go somewhere. to understand what the weather is like in a certain area all we have to do is look for it on the Internet...... middle of paper ...... it's addictive and it's also quite obvious that we almost always use something technology-related like ours phones or computers, whether it is necessary or not. Technology has changed our lives in so many ways nowadays, for better or worse; it does us a lot of good, for example it saves us a lot of time and makes everything more streamlined and much more efficient. It also helps us stay in touch with distant friends and family that we otherwise wouldn't be able to connect with. Technology is neither just negative nor positive, it has both its disadvantages and its advantages. In the end, it all depends on the user, on all of us, on how we use it and how we treat it. We need to focus on the realities of life instead of having to always have technology at our fingertips. and enjoy the moments we have instead of the ones we don't.
