Should the school be open all year round? Well, I say yes because our young people will finish high school faster. And if school were year-round, students wouldn't have the chance to get into big trouble and wouldn't be able to join a gang or have time to hang out on a block because they wouldn't have a long summer break. Someone needs to bring this issue to the school board to see if they will make the change to save the lives of many students by keeping them off the streets and keeping them in school year round. If children stayed in school longer, they would most likely do better, but it is up to the people in the communities to push children to attend school. I believe that parents must defend the rights of their children to help them have a better future by helping to make school last all year. To help students want to go to school year-round, they can get involved in different activities that they enjoy.
