Introduction: The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm are a popular genre among children and society. Fairy tale stories and remakes are the basis of the original. Grimm fairy tales include Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Ariel, Rapunzel and many more. The story usually includes a curse, a fairy or spell, a prince saving the princess, and a moral. Fairy tales have a huge impact on pop culture and the way children and young adults perceive reality and love. These stories are part of my childhood. Fairy tales give me a sense of empowerment and hope for the future. Stories shape my imagination and resilience into who I am today. The Research: The mission of writing a research paper based on my childhood began. As I was walking to the school library, several ideas came to mind about what stories to find, what I wanted to focus on in my research paper. I was frustrated with the large amount of fairy tales; I wanted to focus on five important fairy tales. Mr. Boardman gave us a week to research our topics. You would think that would be enough, but once you started getting more involved in research and learning, you never found yourself wanting to stop researching. I started having fun looking for theories and meanings of different fairy tales. A website shared the origins of the fairy tales. It provided insight into how each person in the story transformed the fairy tale from more childlike to complex. Each...half of the paper...mm."
