Are they themselves afraid of what might or might not happen? Well, let me tell you something, the way I was brought up is very similar to the article "The Allegory of the Cave" by Plato. The main idea of ​​this article is how some prisoners were trapped inside a cave. Prisoners were to face loudly in one direction only and were not to move loudly to the left or right. They would just sit forward and couldn't even turn their heads to see what might be next to them. These prisoners were taught some things and ideas that others presented to them. Those ideas were performed as a puppet show, but instead of using a curtain directly in front of the audience, they used a fire. The fire produced shadows, which were reflected on the wall in front of the prisoners. The prisoners watched every movement of every shadow. Each of them only knew what each shadow showed them. Then one day, a prisoner escaped from the cave seeing the world for what it really is, not just what someone told him. Which, again, relates very similarly to parenting. Some parents don't allow their children to be exposed to certain things in the world. Children can't learn anything more if they don't go and experience things themselves.
