Topic > Class 11 Camp: An Unforgettable Experience - 1013

Class 11 Camp was an unforgettable experience that tested my strength, both mentally and physically. In one of the many challenging activities, the group was divided into several groups and each group was forced to push an army truck along a road. We were given a break every 20 minutes and I found it very satisfying, even during a "break", to encourage my peers and guide them through such a physically and mentally exhausting challenge. Other challenges had us crawling through small, narrow tunnels. I have found great satisfaction in encouraging people and helping others overcome their fears. It was a great experience learning to ride better as it required a lot of team effort and mental strength to get through all the camp activities. After the week of camp, on the bus ride home I was able to reflect on different leadership styles and how I developed. I personally found that I was better developed for leading by example rather than simply coaching my colleagues. I believe this leadership style encourages others to be engaged and enthusiastic even when challenged. It is my desire to apply the leadership skills I have acquired during the Level 11 camp to various circumstances during my studies and subsequently in the workplace. I am trying to apply these leadership skills as while studying science and engineering, I felt that many group projects and activities need to be undertaken. This is similar to engineering in the business world where each project can have dozens if not hundreds of engineers working together. I find that leadership skills will help me really reach the top in the workplace to develop many new and exciting things. I would consider my greatest accomplishment to be getting an ac... halfway through the paper.... ..challenging or difficult points. As a result of this passion for helping others, it would be an honor to aspire to become a tutor. I'm really drawn to the idea of tutoring because not only does it give me the opportunity to meet and get to know more people, but it allows me to share the passion I've found in studying mathematics and physics. I also want to be involved in many co-curricular activities such as theater groups to get to know more students and grow the social idea of involvement on campus. In short, my community's passion lies in engaging with other students both on and off my course, in order to encourage people to achieve the best possible results. This comes from my goal to aspire to be part of something big, to be someone who changes the world by achieving my goals and dedicating myself to helping others achieve theirs..
