The high mortality rate had a huge impact on the job market. The death of all workers would leave an extreme shortage of certain skills. All this obviously leads to higher prices for workers and, consequently, higher prices for goods. Beyond that, animals were affected, since farming is still a way to provide food for your family, the death of animals would hurt those who relied on animals for both work and food. The plague also caused a loss of faith in the church. People had gone to church for help but soon realized that the Church could not solve all their problems. Ultimately, the Black Death ended up helping to realize the need for better medicine (Edmonds). The massive impact of the Black Death was felt across Europe for years to come and is remembered as one of the worst epidemics of all time, which just so happened to be during one of the darkest times
